Are private hire drivers allowed to stop outside hotels in London to pick up and set down passengers when the road is marked with double red lines?

The TFL link below says you can..

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/redroutes/19686.aspx

Exemptions - Blue Badge, Motorcycles, Taxi & Private Hire

If you have a Blue Badge or drive a motorcycle, taxi or private hire vehicle, you'll have more flexibility when using red routes.
Blue Badge holders
If you have one, you can often park where others can't. Make sure you display your badge. Signs tell you exactly when and where. Always check the sign.

Loading boxes: Generally for up to three hours

Parking boxes: Generally for as long as you like

Red lines: You can stop on these to pick up and drop off people but you'll need to move on quickly
Taxi and Private Hire

"Always display your licence and exemption sticker.

You can pick up and drop off passengers on most red routes as long as you display your PHV (private hire vehicle) license. It will tell Police, CCTV operators and other road users that you're allowed to do this. It also means that you'll avoid receiving a penalty charge.

You can't stop on the parts of the red route with a wide red line, pedestrian crossings and zigzags.
Bus lanes

PHV - You can also cross bus lanes to gain access to the kerbside to pick up or drop off passengers, but must leave the bus lane straight away.

In most cases, taxis are permitted to use bus lanes but licensed PHVs are not. The driver may leave the vehicle to assist passengers getting to or from their destination."

I think you'll find the Red Route stopping exemptions for licenced minicabs (ph cars) ONLY applies to those with TfL licneces, but I may be wrong.

Best check again with the TfL website, it's cheaper than getting a £120 fine for stopping to set down.

Might have had something to do with this one he he, anyway you can only set down and pick up "immediately" ie you get to hotel and punter aint on the pavement you get out the car to find the c*nt yer nicked, if their there with their luggage and get straight in yer ok.

You get out to load luggage yer nicked unless their disabled, anyway why would yer help load luggage if they aint mustards [mustard pickles ie cripples?]

Dont think PH from yokelsville get any allowance why the fekk should they ??????? Hack ok but you stop for more than 30 seconds £120 out yer bin he he :D :D

if its a continous red line NO lee way I believe.

Advice make the punter walk to a safe pick up area! by the way there aint any in Westminster cameras every where as you would expect from a Tory fekk dog council :D your get a ticket but probably win the appeal but appeal you will have too!

Dont know why you poxy yokels dont stay in yer haystacks we dont want yer here stinking of pigs and sheep [thats the welsh shaggers caby johns bestiality experts :lol: :lol: }

In other words fekk orf yer aint welcome =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
