only 1 month into lockdown and the taxi trade is 95% suicidal

I'm sure it's not that difference to most other form of Business at the moment.

I’m fine for three months, its the future I’m worried about, not just about our trade but the economy as a whole.

Indeed. Is that light at the end of the tunnel the light of an oncoming train?

The vast majority of this trade work week to week.

Having maybe three months off, or three months of hardly any punters, unsurprisingly has freaked many out.

So, back in April 2020, I predicted that the light at the end of the tunnel is the light of an oncoming train.

The National Covid Service couldn’t organise a knees up in a brewery. They have had a long time to organise things for this winter, and have woefully failed in the task.

What were the nightingale hospitals for?

Why is the NCS turning away highly qualified medics because they haven’t done diversity training?

A retired surgeon in Louth, Lincolnshire, was offered a post, as a car park attendant!

Two million vaccinations a week? Anyone believe the totally inept health service will achieve that?

SNAFU, as the marines used to say in Vietnam.

My grandchildren are distraught at the school closures.

I will be seventy this year, I am in good health, and could stay home if I must. I will survive.

Rant over, looking back to 2020 with affection.

the government only reacts when it's too late because they listen too much to the lobbyists

we are now going to be the worst country in the world for Covid

In two weeks time there will be a huge shortfall in hospital beds as the current surge reaches the hospitalisation stage and they probably won't open the nightingales till then

They will not open the nightingales as there is a drastic shortage of NHS staff mainly due to them contracting the virus whilst looking after those suffering from the virus.

According to the news a couple of days ago some of the nightingale hospitals are in use already, however they are not treating covid patients.

The Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force Medics are just as susceptible as NHS Medics.

That's the problem, a lack of trained staff.

Not helped by many of those trained staff also currently having the bug.

Most, if not all of those, are already working in the NHS.

Good friend of Mrs Sussex is a Colonel in the Army, and she has been working full time with Mrs Sussex for the last 6 months.

They are able, until they themselves get the plague.
