Just renewed with TFP schemes (Aviva) again this year through premier insurance (Winsford) £1076 with protected no claims. Had a quote of £1019 but that was with an offshore based company, Been there, done that, never again.

my TFP/AVIVA was £1300 with protected NCB, protected Excess, Breakdown, legal, windscreen, but only day (4am to 9pm) cover for H&R and £10m PL.

How much does that save over 24/7?

could do with a clue as to which brokers/which insurers are quoting so low

mine was £1100, adding £10m PL, protected excess, NCB and breakdown made it £1300

You could try
Wilsons insurance group 0151 480 6000 0161 874 7777

on my list with Patons and a new name - Mark at BP insurance Blackpool

Well turns out my premium is actually lower this year :-o

Asked why that was, because I was expecting a higher premium because of Covid etc.

They said that because I'd had my policy with the insurer for a few years now, hadn't changed cars etc, then that's possibly the reason. Car was bought brand new, and is now six years old, so don't know if that could be a factor.

In fact I'm now wondering if Covid may be a downward factor as regards premiums - doubt if their income from premiums is down much, despite the odd cancelation and non-renewal. But presumably there have been a lot less *claims* during lockdown?

So maybe that could be a factor.

Anyway, a lot of it is obviously down to individual circumstances, so no one should assume from my lower premium that they'll be the same.
