My next door neighbour had his first vaccination three weeks ago.

He tested positive for coronavirus this week.

But he has a 100% chance of not dying due to taking the vaccine.

the trouble is the deaths don't show up until 3 weeks after the cases surge so we will see after Easter if there is an increase

But the hospital admissions numbers are the ones that come first, and they have plummeted.

The point I was making, but went unheard, was that just because you have had a first shot of vaccine, it does not offer instant immunity. He has a very mild dose, akin to a bad cold, or “man flu” it could have been a lot worse had he not had the first jab. But who knows?

I think the boffins know, and they indicate it's good news. \:D/

On been given my first jab I was informed it probably would take 3 weeks or more before I gained any immunity.

It's three weeks to get the maximum protection, but after 10 days you get some protection.

The number in Melton is still due to the workplace outbreak that we had. The last day that the daily number was high was 25th March when there were 12 people tested positive. due to the delay in the 7 day reporting this figure will remain in the 7 day numbers for at least another 5 days because the 7 day number was last updated on the 27th March.

Local hospital trust that cover over a million folks in Sussex has 10 covid patients, none of whom is in ITU.

Down from loads and loads and loads.

I've just looked and SK's figure is 60 but it is going down and locally we are under 10 cases in Stamford for the first time since august last year \:D/
