Next year another medical dread to think what my doctor is going to charge this year for 20 minutes, he charges top wack, NHS national rate he says how come, talk to some drivers they pay 30 quid, 45 quid, me have to pay around 130 quid [not sure of exact price] we used to go to one doctor who advertised for a about 35 quid, buts he not doing it or dissapeared, he didn't require origional medical docs, just did the tests how do others go one if I was to go to a cheap Doctor I must somehow get my medical documents to him through the doctors internal tranfer system of medical notes these medical notes held by my doctor are mine, not his, he holds them, how come he can charge a high fee [transfer of docs] to let another doctor look at them any thoughts on a way round it |

reminds me of one of the tests got into the doctors, saw the nurse, first was a reading test, she gave me a book with ever so small print and said read that, I said I'll just put me glasses on, she said, oh no, read it without your glasses, I slammed the book shut and said this is stupid, mark it down as can't read small print next was a blood pressure test, can't stand that feels like its going to blow up, being tensed she did it, that puts the pressure up, I moved my wrist and gripped my fingers, she said, I am letting it down again you moved, she said this is time consuming, doing it again this will extend your bill at the end you couldn't make these things up, or could you |

My last one the nurse checked my eyes and blood pressure then i went in to the Doc, he asked how i was and i said fine thanks, he said ok you can go! I said if ive paid £70 odd i want the whole works, he looked surprised!! But did it anyway, WTF!! It'd be ok if i dropped dead at the wheel through something he should have checked but didnt! |

My regular Dr that I have been going to for years. (He is 2 days younger than I). I also have to have a medical every year as I am over 65. I stick £40 in with the form. I tell him that I deserve a discount as I have to have one every year and I am only a poor pensioner. |

I was feeling old until I read this - I don't need another Medical for 10 years Needed one on first application and my own GP wanted over a £100; found a Dr at another surgery who was willing to do them for £25 for as long as you were willing to have an appointment before 8am - oh yes!
