And back in the good old days, they'd just jump ship to another op, and it wouldn't merit a strike and article about it in the local press
More seriously, though, I'd guess a lot of it is to do with punters taking the pish out of the fixed-price system, as we all predicted from the start. Although didn't they make changes to stop that?
Anyway, it's all so opaque it's difficult to assess it all. Give me a taximeter any day
