Not much to see here - literally. Not sure why Devon & Cornwall Police would post a photo like this at the top of their official news release, which cuts off part of the suspect's head. The Devon Live rehash at least includes the top of his head (second photo below): Appeal after serious assault, Torquay https://news.devon-cornwall.police.uk/n ... 45bdd24049 Image: Devon & Cornwall Police Officers are seeking the public’s help to identify this man in connection with a serious assault in Torquay. A man was assaulted by another man in the taxi queue on Vaughn Parade in the early hours of New Year’s Day. The attack followed a dispute over a taxi. The victim, in his 40s and from Torquay, sustained serious facial and ankle injuries which required hospital treatment. Police investigating the incident would like to identify the man pictured as they believe he may be able to assist with their enquiries. Anyone who recognises him or has any information which may assist with the investigation is asked to come forward. Please contact police online or by telephone on 101, quoting crime reference 50240000203. Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111, or via http://www.crimestoppers-uk.org ![]() Image: Devon & Cornwall Police/Devon Live |

To be fair to police, they do show the fuller images, including a full length one of the perp, which are downloadable via their news page at the link above, but these are tiny little images by website standards. On the other hand, the Devon Live site also includes the full-length image, but it's too big for showing on here. But if you visit the photo via this link your browser should reduce it to a reasonable size: https://i2-prod.devonlive.com/incoming/ ... nC_PIC.jpg (And, of course, he's not really a 'suspect' at all, at least in official terms. But police believe 'he may be able to assist with their enquiries' )

That's quite a good picture of the person they wish to have a chat with. Will be very surprised if he doesn't come forward. |
