But I've got a good idea - some kind of law enforcement agency, who could be uniformed, and have stuff like cars, truncheons and handcuffs (or the more modern gear) to help them carry out their duties

I could even think of a name...

Taxi drivers have been urged to look out for signs of people being exploited by gangs in Dorset.

Dorset Police have confirmed they are working with drivers and private hire firms to help educate staff on the possible signs of criminal gangs exploiting people to carry out their criminal activity.

Vulnerable people may be possession of more than one mobile phone, carrying excessive amounts of cash or wishing to travel to multiple locations in a short time frame, which drivers should look out for when taking on passengers.

Police have urged companies to report any concerns of suspicious behaviour of customers or young people travelling that may be coerced into criminal activity by gangs.

People should call 101 or 999 in an emergency. You can also report concerning behaviour online through the Dorset Police website.

Sounds like these *vulnerable* people are dealing drugs.

Which reminds me of a dealer I lived close to in Dundee - had to pass his door when I went down the common stairs to get out. But because he was a low-level dealer he was left alone by police - he was a 'vulnerable' person, or whatever

To be fair, the police did attend at least once - when someone further up the drugs food chain tried to batter his door down, and he needed protection

But, aye, they want us to be their eyes and ears, or whatever...

And apparently new drivers here in Fife are taught how to administer Naloxone, or whatever
