An Edinburgh man once convicted of growing marijuana in his attic has been granted a private hire driver’s licence.
Marcin Krzysztof Rozwadowski was sentenced in 2017 to 250 hours of unpaid work after marijuana valued at between £6,000 and £21,000 was found in his home during a search.
A police report read to the committee added ‘two large tents’ and growing equipment were found in the property, as well as 24 cannabis plants.
Mr Rozwadowski was convicted at Inverness Sheriff Court on January 12, 2017.
Police inspector James Langside said: “As stated by the nature of the conviction, there are inextricable links with criminality.
“It’s obviously a criminal offence in itself, but production of drugs is also associated with organised crime.
“Although I will say there is no evidence of association with organised crime present.”
The committee agreed to grant Mr Rozwadowski a one year licence.
