No detail here about the incident, so not clear whether it was job, or whether the victim just happened to be a 'taxi' driver.

But, of course, as we all know, stuff like this a lot more likely to happen to members of the trade :-o

A Huddersfield man attacked a taxi driver in a dispute over parking.

Bilal Khan, 32, attacked taxi driver Almas Haider on Ruskin Grove, Sheepridge, Huddersfield, on March 31, 2024, Kirklees magistrates' court in Huddersfield heard. Khan, of Grosvenor Road, Dalton, Huddersfield, punched and kicked the victim to his face and body, leaving his with a black eye and cuts to his nose and mouth and bruising. He admitted a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Atifa Zamir, prosecuting, told the court that the assault arose from a dispute over parking.

Bilal was ordered to pay his victim £500 compensation, a £114 surcharge and costs of £85. He must also complete a 12-month community order and carry out 150 hour of unpaid work.
