I have just read the posts on this subject again and I smell a rat. In one post Jack states that in the 8 hour shift on the Saturday he took £240+ yet in a later post he states that on Saturday he took nearly £200 in the 8 hour shift. :---)

There is no doubt that plates in Oxford are one of, if not, the highest in the country. So the £70,000 discount price isn't out of place.

I'm just interested to know how that money can be found in the first place, and can be recouped before the Law Commission make all plate prices the same throughout the country. :-$

That was after fuel though

Doesn't really sound that much assuming it's the best eight hours on the Saturday though.

I mean if plates are worth £100k then presumably they're going to be a bit busier than most of us.

i swear some of you guy's have fantasys about plate premiums..... mines bigger than yours....

even if the law commision do manage to feck the industry up, then what? we all know whats going to happen next...

as someone says "the genie will be out of the lamp"

some of you work in regulated areas, yet carp on how its not fair that your brothers cant be issued with a plate...

what do you think will happen in your area?? its not going to be roses mate thats for sure, when Bob, John, Ali et all get thier hands on a plate, the game will be finished as people in other areas have foound out

Alas no, but I'm very good at reading between the lines.

And why start things if nothing is going to change?

I like to look at this from a naive point of view and would say they are looking at it to see if change is needed :D

grandad that was friday in which nearly made £200
Well week is going verry good already made over £800 and still got tonight left and driver going to give me £280 for weeks rent tonight lowest will make is £200 so that's weekly total £1,280
After fuel expences easily £900
£900 weekly for 50-60 hours
I would pay well over £100k for a plate to earn that
You lot stay working in your delimited areas and clear £300 profit doing 12hour shifts everyday lol
If i was you guys invest in a limited area .

Sorry I didn't realise that you mis-spelt Friday and it came out as Saturday.

the guy who sold was having family problems in pakistan money wise so he needed money fast so only thing he had was his plate but when things sort out his thinking of buying again or something but im telling you guys its well worth buying in limited areas
I know alot of guys all over who only buy in limited area and another thing is especially with asian people who I've worked with they are well respected in asian comunitys as people who work in private or delimited area look up to them and show them respect as they are driving something with value rather driving something that has no value.
