I was reading some of our 2021 policy and noted that it stated that all meters must be calendar controlled. Now I am not against this but not one of the Hackney cars licensed in our area has actually got a calendar controlled meter. When I pointed this out they didn't seem to know that the cars didn't already have this. |

Having calendar control meters in my view is a sensible policy, so I'm quite surprised your council actually has such a policy. |

calender controlled meters are reliant on the accuracy of their clocks which in my experience aren't great. |

Most, if not all, allow the Driver to make small (2 or 3 minutes) changes, often limited to once a week or fortnight. |
