I've heard Confucked.com and Compare the Meerkat.com are quoting for cabs now.

From my conversations with drivers it appears that Westminster are doing the best deals at the mo. :-$

Just had three quotes ranging from £750 to £870. The one at £870 said they would throw in £2 Million public liability, legal cover and Roadside assistance, it sounds tempting but I'm not sure if this is a good deal as I am new to the trade. Theres also talk of mirroring my NCB whatever that means?

Transferring your ordinary car insurance NCB to your new taxi insurance.

Ive rang around a few today, I have it down to £2162 at the moment with J&M. Seems a good quote so far! Though im waiting for a few ring backs so hopefully it goes down. Ideally I want to get it as low as possible (dont we all!) but understand that Im gonna be paying a higher premium as of my age and first year of cabby.

Sussex, Ive yet to try Westminster, will give them a bell shortly.

Grandad, It will be fully comp, I will also try wheels insurance.

wannabeeahack, who did you get that quote from out of interest?
Keep at it m8, I got mine down to £614 with six yrs ncb on PH with choice quote in Liverpool best deal to date. I would say anything around the 2k mark is a good deal with 0yrs NCB[Business/taxi use only].
