 Post subject: tx2 - tx1

found advert on ebay putting a tx1 engine into a tx2 for 1300.00 anyone done this before , been told the tx1 engine was a lot better than the tx2 ford, any suggestions

Should drop strait in, you may have to do a bit of plumbing and re arrange the wiring and exhaust but thats about all, oops and you will need the ecu,
it would be better if you could get the gearbox and propshaft

and perhaps save money and challenge the LA's conditions and buy a BMW 5 series M sport.....155 mph....imagine how fast you can deliver punters :D

For a mechanic it is a pretty straightforward job.... you have to improvise on a couple of small issues.... if you can get a smashed up driver cab or early T X one you will have the vast majority of the Parts that you need... the prop shaft has to be converted to fit the Ford diff... there is a place in Liverpool that will give you a exchange prop shaft already converted for 90 pounds .. you'll also need a transducer cable.... :wink:
