I've noticed going over bumps in the road the front wings on my fairway wobble a fair bit. They aren't rotten (well not that much) and the bolts are all tight. Is this a normal thing for these?.

Very normal!

My garage packed their fleet ones out with some sort of foam, like the type that insulates pipes.

Thanks for that, something to look into a bit more,I know some more modern vehicles use a similar system.
I'm suprised that a vehicle that had such a long production run (with some minor alterations) still seems there are significant issues with bodywork etc.I have made up new, stronger mounts for the bottoms of the front wings and that seems to help a bit.
The foam injection might be an idea in other places too, thanks for the tip.
