Totally NOT connected, the ARG is from funding sent to your area (£20 per head of population here)

Quote:
The Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) supports businesses that are not covered by other grant schemes or where additional funding is needed.

Lincolnshire have STATED that it is NOT available to those in receipt of Seiss and SJDC decided if you could still trade you weren't eligible and if you know our councils they listen to no one who isn't a party donor

Thank you for your email.

Please refer to the below website, paying particular attention to the overview of grant schemes and the eligibility chart.

The website for business support grants is below;

https://investsk.co.uk/businessgrants/

Please follow the instructions that are contained on website and in the guidance.

If there is currently not a scheme that is relevant for your business sector and you are severely impacted please complete a Covid Impact Statement form so that we may understand the support request and use this to potentially shape future schemes.

Kind Regards

Business Team

BUT when we contacted invest SK about the scheme they said we were NOT eligible and at the time taxis were listed on the website as ineligible !

They have rewritten and amended the website we have now started approaching a few councillors the latest from invest SK is that they would need to see bank statements for 2 years that demonstrate takings are down by more than 70 percent

30% is the guidelines, i think they must mean down TO 70% of 2019-2020

Quote:
How much you can receive
Eligible businesses will be entitled to receive a one-off grant of £7,500 per business and not per property.

To complete this form, you will need to:

Supply bank statements from 1 September 2020 to 30 November 2020, compared with 1 September 2019 to 30 November 2019, showing an impact on your income.
If you are unable to provide or unable to present the impact of the coronavirus pandemic upon their business within these requested months, the business must provide bank statements from 2020, whereby a comparison of none lockdown and lockdown months shall be undertaken to provide evidence of an income loss above 25%:
None lockdown months
January and February 2020
September 2020
Lockdown months
April and May 2020
November 2020

Quote:
or last year’s annual accounts in comparison to the current year’s management accounts and profit and loss statement to show a 25% loss in trade.

Provide evidence (qualitatively) of how the local and national restrictions and the pandemic have impacted upon their income and business operation.
Outline what other government support they have received (e.g. small business grant, extended retail grant, self-employment Income support scheme, bounce back loan, local restrictions support grant etc.)
Home based businesses to highlight if they receive any benefits (such as universal credit).
Supply at least one of the following references: business rates account number, company registration number, VAT registration number, charity registration number, unique tax reference/partnership number or national insurance number.

Our council were given a pot of money for the ARG and they have been told that they have to give the money out by the end of March, which is why got an uplift to our original grant. There has been no mention yet of any further money from the Government but I suppose it could be that the original money needs to be distributed before the end of the tax year before any more is providd.

here is the latest email my driver has received from SKDC

Thank you for your email.

The SSG2 grant scheme is not specifically for taxi drivers – it is a scheme to include those taxi / drivers that service the travel for hospitality /travel industry for example airport transfers, that can evident 70% substantive income is derived from servicing those sectors mandated to close with a 70% turnover loss.

If they fit this eligibility criteria then the award would be £2800 one off payment.

They would not be excluded if they have claimed SEISS.

They would need to be licensed and reside within South Kesteven District Council.

If they do not necessarily fit the eligibility for the SSG2 grant they may be eligible for the specific taxi driver scheme coming soon.
