As for you gus would it really have hurt you to answer the question rather than turn the thread into a debate I was looking for a little guidance on whether it was a fairly profitable job and opinions on the job at hand as in do you really get as many nasty drunks as people say etc that was all!
We'll maybe if you'd asked for specifics, I might have given them to you. In reality, anything I or Eddie or anyone else tells you about how the trade is where we are is irrelevant.
I can tell you that trade here is nothing like Eddie describes and neither will be the same as your manor. For example, punters trying to bump the fare are a lot less common here. Vehicle choice varies greatly from one LA to the next. Insurance is damned expensive everywhere. Repairs and maintenance varies with the standards demanded by your LA and the cost of garages where you are.
The best source of information for all this is your local trade and I did tell you to speak to them in a previous post. Whether they will speak to you is another matter. Poachers turned gamekeepers aren't exactly popular.
Just be glad you don't want to work in bloodnock's manor. He'd probably have you burned at the stake.

I haven't changed my opinion BTW, I still think your a mug working for peanuts and making rich men richer at the expense of the local cab trade.
If you do get licensed, you too will come to resent these sharks taking contracts that you need, because they don't have your overheads and can do it cheaper.
