dougies just trying to get the cec to make the sale of plates legal.
fer some feckin reason he cant get it through his thick skull that its not up to them
he's attempting to pull the wool over our eyes buy disguising it as somit else.
it doesn't matter to him who profits from selling new plates, private individuals or the council.
what matters to him is who profits from the sale of old ones, aint that right dougie
myself i think if that ever were to come to fruition that the seller should have to return any excess profit to the council,so we can build more trams and put on more buses

When you consider your earning potential 20 years ago, pro rata, your earnings are half, while running costs and plate “values” are double.
It doesn't make sense to pay out more to earn less, year on year.
Now “owners” are almost totally dependent on drivers keeping their little illusions afloat.
The truth is, without a driver most “owners” especially those in City and Central, would go under faster than a bag of bricks.
And before anyone says, City and Central have the Lions share of the work they also have higher overheads and driver rentals.
The days of a taxi “owner” working for himself are long gone. Ownership is about your overheads owning you, and you being chained to the treadmill until your legs give out. Everyone peddling faster and faster just to keep their illusion going.
Dougie and Fairplay are simply willing slaves to the system. Given the choice, they choose the dream world, to the real world, every time.
