Oh and have a wee look at London, the hack trade down there is far from happy with with Uber?
Not happy because they're failing to adhere to the London private hire act like every other minicab operation has to before they're licensed.
Not happy as the drivers operate a meter which is prohibited under the above act (court case in progress)
Not happy that they're yet another yank company who avoid paying their taxes in the uk.
Not happy they take zero responsibility for their drivers actions.
Not happy that they're competition?
Nah.
Just another minicab company with immigrant drivers, a sat nav, limited or no English and totally lost in London. Much the same as we've always had since 1963.
Its the PH operators that are suffering with drivers moving over to the app alongside or without their usual circuits gear, not taxis, apart from the Free Credit mob who just use whoever offering free rides this week . . .
As for 'uber' users ...... tightarses, social media and PR employees, men with tight jeans and beards, and people who think bus fares are expensive.
My drop in income?
Less busy?
'Lol' I believe is the most appropriate abbreviation.
I don't think I'd be overly concerned as a uk taxi driver, in my experience taxi punters are taxi punters, PH punters are PH punters in the main.
Like everyone else in 1983 I used to own a rubiks cube. Where are they now?
