Morning Skull, hope you're well. Ok lets go through your remarks......
You don't start well by admitting future predictions were a wind up. But i'll over look that and play the game. The waverley incident was about 30 years ago and yes it may be looked at as unsavoury to the taxi trade but in any other business would have been a shrewd move.
No. The only wind-up was when CRT lost the airport to City Cabs. And as for the Waverley being a
"shrewd move"… are you insane?

City Cabs paid millions for work they already had and ended up no better off than CRT. In fact, the same thing has happened again out at the airport, the work has evened out over the peace. And the only winners in the game were the Railway Authorities, BAA and ECPH.
Artur you would have to be insane to think selling out the trade by taking over the Waverley or the airport for that matter, was a
“shrewd move”.

The working for the private hire is your awful attempt at to rile myself and others on here so we'll move on.
Oh that’s right, it’s perfectly normal for Taxi companies to fulfil the contractual agreements of Ph, especially when ECPH couldn’t have won the airport contract on their own, on their best day.

Honestly Artur you are a clown, if you think working for ECPH was another
“shrewd move”.

Yes these global apps have money to burn but whilst they are riding the crest of a wave just now on investor money these shareholders will want to see a return for their money and that's when the pressure of returns starts to add pressure, that's capitalism for you baby They also face another problem that's hindered the private hire and that's getting the number of drivers needed. Its my understanding they'll have to use licensed cars and taxis.
Artur these GLOBAL app companies could buy and sell the Edinburgh Taxi Trade, you are not even in the game.
Shrewd or what?

Oooooh ok i'll dare skull.......Ok assuming Uber make a real dent i'd imagine they'll go for the contracts in town forcing the companies to offer more discount increasing the radio fees. But i'll ask you.....how much could they offer to discount? Central are already discounting at 35-40% allegedly There is no more room for manoeuvre. If anything they'll just attract private hire drivers who'll soon get sick of working for reduced uber fees.
There is no competition here Artur, the minute Uber or Get Taxi make a serious dent in City or CRT it’s all over. They will go down like dominoes. They only need a relatively small percentage of major contracts to destabilise the whole trade and it's all over. Oh and they know it. Then it's just a mopping up process. Now that is
shrewd.

We've seen this before with comcab who were going to sweep the board with everyone. City and Central will be fine and it gives me satisfaction that will annoy you further as you sit wasting your time trying to convince yourself you've let go and moved on from the dreaded taxi trade you so hate.
No. you’ve not seen this before with ComCab, not even close.

These are billion dollar Global technology platforms which completely cancel out the need for inefficient costly street corner operators the likes of City Cabs.
It’s game over.

The question is not, if, it will happen but when?
Shrewd? I think so.

What? You think I would be happier being a Cab...nigger like you.

Honestly Artur, you might not be
shrewd but you are delusional.
