I think the word that comes to mind is
APATHY if I have spelt it correctly. As a committee member of our local organisation, apathy is the only word to discribe the whole of the trade, I speak of HC & PH they sit on the ranks or in the drivers room (In the RAF we called them Barrack Room Lawyers) and they
talk the talk, but when you ask for a contribution to an organisation to represent the whole of there opinions they all seem to disappear. I have talked to others around the south at various spots, like waiting at the airport etc and they say the same thing. Strange that people will talk and talk but will not put money where there mouths suggest. I feel so frustrated at times that I don't why we bother to try and help those who don't whant to be helped, even when its biting the backsides.
does that sound angry enough.
Your right not long to go now.
Bryan,
Sorry to have to disagree with you, but I think it goes deaper than that.
Many taxi drivers, are so beccause of change, change in other proffesions lost markets, englands decline, and what they are terrified of is change, restructure, they just dunna wanna know
For years my company has stood still, we could have no more cars beccause of restriction by numbers, 4 years ago that was lifted, and there was utter panic, not from loss of premiums, only I was affected by that, but change, what if...............
every time I TRY TO INSTITUTE CHANGE i get interference both within and outside.
I am on the brink of breakthrough, my company will move ahead I am confident and enthusiastic, drivers sit there biting thier nails? because of something new?
