Just about to jump on the merry go round again. #-o
My current insurer ( Jenkinsons ) has been competitive for the last couple of years and allows you to pay over three months interest free. Prices do seem to be about the same as last year from what I’ve heard.

I’d love to know the reasoning behind these quotes!

Markerstudy £980 two years ago, last year quoted £1870, this year £1370. (Still more than the £1117 I paid this year with Acorn) no accidents, no changes in circumstances and 15+NCB

Drafted this last year, but forgot about it. But have now added this year's figures...

2020: £700.72 :-o
2021: £670.48
2022: £852.43 :?
2023: £939.75
2024: £1,229.91 ](*,)
2025: £1,200.00 :-|

So that was an increase of 31% last year, but slightly down this year :?

(I think my original quote this year was slightly up on last year, but she rounded it down to £1,200 when I sounded a bit uncertain, hence the very precise figure...)

Sounds about typical in terms of the pattern, and I suppose it could be a lot worse.

Don't know if my shiny new motor last year has increased the premium much, but from what I know about these things (which isn't much) I don't think the value of the car really makes a huge difference :-k

I've always just gone with the Paton's quote. Don't know if I could get a better deal by shopping around a bit, but in the grand scheme of things I'm probably still not paying that much...

It's all that argy bargy from the kebab shop that's causing the increase.

Maybe if the nutty pervy kebab man goes down, then so might the premiums.

Don't even joke about it, Sussex :)

Anyway, forgot about this, but didn't want to tempt fate until my new policy was actually in force - presumably if something happened between agreeing the premium and the policy actually being renewed then you'd lose your no-claims etc, and/or face a higher premium because of something you've done wrong? Something I just don't like to think about, so don't know the actual answer 8-[

And think I've forgotten what I meant to say now. But maybe something about the fact that in the grand scheme of things my premiums aren't too bad, although it's not really credible to compare big city and/or purpose-built cabs and/or young/inexperienced drivers with my premium :?
