dont moan shop around this lot sound good and plenty of locations. http://www.driversmedicals.com/index.html £49 all in, you are not alone truck and bus drivers are under the same rules as taxi/ph drivers, ie 1 at first licence and then at 45 then every 5 years after that, next year i have to get 2 done.

the point is i had no choice, the LA only allows locally the use of NHS occy health dept

and im able to drive a 7.5tonner on my licence without a medical....with a trailer if needs be under grandad rights

this is a council who PH plates a horse and carriage, nothing surprises me!

all we ask for is a level playing field, ive 4 sets of forms here, for different LA's, they all vary by miles in costs and requirements, do they make the rules up as they go along?

she said "your blood pressures fine, just a little on the high side"

i replied "so would yours be paying £115 for this"

test 1. push against my hands with yours....
test 2. push my hands down with your feet (simulating foot pedals)

test 3. pull up with your feet against my hands (placed on top of my feet)

can someone explain 3 please?

Round our way it depends which doctors surgery you are registered with

My doctors £41.15
Other main surgery £115

But if your not registered with my surgery they won't do a medical you have to go to your own doctors but a BIG difference in price between the two practises !

the LA inc the medical in the drivers application fee, £245 and tell you where to go for the medical

if that was a HGV medical, and i passed it, there must be some wonky truckers out there, all i needed was 2 arms, 2 legs and a pulse....£115 my arse...
