Me thinks there is an element of crying wolf here this has been standard practise in many parts of the country for some time and I have not seen any evidence produced anywhere that shows any increased risk from criminal activity by PH cars carrying such stickers

Lincoln were one of the pioneers of these door stickers weren't they does jimbo know of any evidence ?

we have had them for 20 years they are there to show the public what is a genuine Taxi and not a cowboy
For the safety of women and children no one can argue against them , anyone that does must have something to hide.

Don't you realise there are some Very Important Wannabees out there. You know the type....middle managers , get rich quick types and walter mittys.

They will not soil themselves by getting into a common PHV, they are executive ...rseholes and will only travel in unmarked exec cars with a chaffeur rather than a licensed PHV driver......common scum!!!!!

Since January 28th, aren't all chauffeurs just private hire drivers with a suit?

I understand what your saying but if this is the reason he doesn't want the stickers, why did he trot out all this criminal b*llocks?

I think he's more worried that any illegal pickups will read them and be put of getting in his motor or refuse to pay him at the other end

The bottom line is that this operator can appeal any decision that aggrieves him. If his firm operates as general private hire as well as executive hire then he is in the same boat as every other P/H operator but if he wants his vehicles to be excluded from the signage then the solution lies in his own hands.

Regards
