£66 pounds but if you only play music for yourself then its free. I suppose you could always make your own music or perhaps sing to the passengers?

Regards

Singing to the passengers may be ok but if they join in I think you need an entertainment license like pubs do.

We had this discussion on another thread months ago, and no-one could agree.

But I'm not sure any cab or PH driver has been asked to pay this tax, and as there are over 250,000 of us I'm thinking we don't need one. [-o<

On the radio today someone said about sole trader. So at least fishermen should be ok.

I looked at those links....I reckon the PRS are just money grabbers as the artists have already been paid for their work that its the PRs themselves that make the mega bucks...anyway..how do they know who ive listened to and who the money should go to. they can whistle for the money ..Providing the pay the royalty fee for the whistled tune.

I doubt they would go to the trouble of prosecuting a taxi driver for playing music just to make a point. They would probably have to repeat the exercise two hundred thousand times for it to have any effect.
