if they cant enforce their own "hackney/no mobile" rules on a rank almost within sight of their offices i doubt they pose any real threat

Not sure..but im sure that under EU rules of Equality for the Disabled if your A registered blind driver you will can send or receive text messages in braille as you drive.

There are some mobile deals around now that are considerably cheaper than having a land line installed, more so if you are mainly having incoming calls.

if you simply have a message on your landline "please call 0798666777" but dont advertise the mobile number then youve complied with the regs.....

i think you mean "driving a limo FOR HIRE OR REWARD", you cant be mean chauffeurs can you

I love watching real big fully loaded Limos and Sweaty panicking Drivers in real tiny carparks...ahhhhhhhh!!...its more satisfying than that First groinal Scratch of the Day...pure Bliss :)

There are still far more Chauffeurs driving to airports unlicensed than ever drive limos.

Does A professional Chauffeur need any special licence other than a Drivers licence if he works for One Boss, I guess as well as Being His Bosses personal Driver he could drive any of his Bosses friends or guests any where at any time in the same way as I can take Uncle Tom Cobley and all in my private car. Even if Not Employed but self Employed and under scots lefgislations he could Do one Contracted run under an agreed 24 hour Contract if Adequately Insured.

As you say, just like you in your private car. He can take whoever his boss says, providing there is no reward. Expenses are ok but not a penny more, not even a tip.
Reward doesn't have to be direct. The boss must not gain from providing the service either e.g Hotel courtesy bus etc.

BTW in Scotland under the 24hr rule you can do as many runs as you like, provided they are all part of the same contract. e.g 12 runs for a social work department.
