well, i gave the LA my forms april 21st, CRB recd em on may 8th

cue tumbleweed rolling down the road....

so, in the spirit of determination, stuff it, ive applied for a job at a local factory ferrying the latvian/polish/bulgarian workers home in a 17 seater minibus, this doesnt require a PH/hack badge, or a PSV badge, or a plate, or a CRB check....

mad innit...

£8/hr.....


for sale, 55 plate tourneo....


note :- when i say im taking the poles (etc) home i dont mean warsaw...

Are you sure you don't need a pcv badge for 17 seats?

Well that's gotta be 1 of the shortest stints as a taxi driver I've ever seen. :shock:

Last time i seen Sixteen poles in the Back of a Vehicle it belonged to British telecom...having said that, it was telegraph poles...

well its a food factory working 24/7, they have 4 or 5 17 seater minibuses (all self drive hire co's) outside and are running their own workforce about

cant be PSV can it

certainly cant be taxi/PH, thats for sure


as for my stint as a taxi driver being short, i think "strangled at birth" is a better term but i gotta pay the rent somehow!

i just noticed my LA fees (£245) included the medical (£115) INC vat

right, im vat regd, so i want a vat receipt....


they bugger me about, ill do the same for them....

No not if they aren't passing any money to the driver. You can drive a bus full of passengers as long as no one passes you any money you are ok to drive. If you look at some of the buses the Social Services run they are well over 8 seats, they don't have PSV drivers driving them.

NIf you look at some of the buses the Social Services run they are well over 8 seats, they don't have PSV drivers driving them.


most are past their sell by dates too

"hello, we dont charge the vat, the occy health does so we cannot issue a vat receipt...

I would be surprised if your council are not VAT registered, considering the amount of VAT they have to pay out.
If they don't charge VAT, they should not have mentioned it.
Why can't they obtain a VAT receipt for you?
