Alistair Darling (c/w Gordie Brown) seems certain to NOT implement the 2p/ltr fuel duty rise planned for October, this has nothing to with vote winning of course, but more importantly, they dont really need to increase the duty, that has happened already due to the increase cost of fuel, vat+duty are a % of the total cost, as the basic price rises, so does the duty!
i wish i was a politician......but im too honest
People moan about the price of fuel being nearly £6 a gallon, why don't they moan about alcohol which costs £20 a gallon? If you have 8 pints of lager @ £2.50 a pint it equates to £20 a gallon, a pint of beer costs 2p to produce add it up and a gallon of beer will cost 16p to produce. Time to moan about the alcohol prices now folks.
i couldnt agree more, and beer is mainly hops, yeast and water, and mainly brewed up the road from me at burton
oil has to be prospected, drilled for, pumped up, transported 1000's of miles, refined, stored and delieverd to a garage, then dispensed at a garage...
