PRIVATE PROFESSIONAL POSTING BOUT

HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION

JD --- versus -- Mr T
(In alphabetical order)

GENERAL FORMAT FOR THE CONTEST

This is a Private Professional Posting Bout in the Heavyweight Division.

The combatants in this Private Professional Posting Bout are;
JD and Mr T (in alphabetical order).

This Private Professional Posting Bout will last a limitless number of rounds.

Each round shall last SIX DAYS, commencing from 00.01hrs on each & every Monday morning & the bell for the end of every round will sound at 24.00hrs (midnight) on each & every Saturday night.

Posting by combatants between rounds shall not score points nor count towards points scored during the next round.

All other Forum Members shall be spectators, save on each & every Sunday between the hours of 00.01hrs to 24.00hrs (midnight) on that day, when Forum Members shall become JUDGES & award points exclusively & only for the round that has most recently finished at 24.00hrs on the Saturday most recently elapsed & for no other previous round.

Point awarded by judges (i.e. Forum Members), must be awarded & posted in the 24 hour period of each & every Sunday.

Points scores awarded & posted by judges (i.e. Forum Members) outside the Sunday posting window will be deemed void & shall not be counted.

NEITHER JD NOR MR T SHALL ACT AS JUDGES, & ARE SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITED FROM POSTING POINTS SCORED FOR ANY ROUND.

Points awarded by judges (i.e. Forum Members) & posted during the valid period for round scoring posts, (i.e. 24 hours of Sunday) shall be aggregated within the 24 hours of each & every Monday by any spectator (i.e. Forum Member), who shall post the aggregate score for the round as he deems correct.

Any two other Forum Members shall then verify the accuracy of the totalled scores for the last elapsed round of this heavyweight bout, & shall post their agreement or otherwise to the aggregate round score first posted.

In the event that the aggregate score of all judges is not verified by both verifying Forum Members, a further three Forum Members, shall then post there findings as to the aggregate round scores of judges. This process will continue until three consecutive Forum Members all agree upon the aggregate points scored by judges for the round, & thereafter it shall be deemed that this be the score for that round.

To assist verifiers of the aggregate judges’ round scores, the initial poster of the aggregation of scores for each round shall be in the format;

Judge xxxxx scored the round JD x points, Mr T x points (alphabetical order)

And thereby creating a listing of all judges’ scores, so as to aid verification by any two other Forum Members.

A running total of the aggregate scores of all rounds shall be kept by any Forum Member after the posting & verification of individual round scores, & such running total shall be verified in the same manner as specified for the individual rounds as stated above.

This contest will commence at 00.01hrs on Monday 28th July 2008. Any postings by the combatants prior to this time & date will be deemed as sparring or loosening up & no points will be awarded by the judges for the blows struck prior to commencement of the bout proper.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT FOR THE COMBATANTS

Both combatants must strictly adhere to the special rules of this Private Professional Posting Bout as herein below. A violation of these rules is considered a foul, & can result in a point deduction or disqualification.

The Rules of Posting for this Private Professional Heavyweight Division Posting Bout are as follows;

1. Protect yourself at all times, but knock the hell out of you opponent.
2. You are allowed to hit below the belt, hold, trip, kick, head butt, bite, spit on, or push your opponent.
3. You are allowed to wrestle, BUT hugging is expressly forbidden.
4. You are allowed to hit with your head, shoulder, forearm, or elbow.
5. You are allowed to hit with an open glove, the inside of the glove, the wrist, the backhand, or the side of the hand.
6. You are allowed to punch your opponent's back, or the back of his head or neck (rabbit punch), or on the kidneys (kidney punch).
7. You are allowed all attempts to inflict injury by gouging, or tearing the flesh with the fingers or nails, & biting; all this shall be deemed legitimate combat.
8. You are allowed to kick, or deliberately fall on your opponent with the knees or otherwise when down; all this shall be deemed legitimate combat..
9. You are allowed to throw a punch while holding on to the ropes to gain leverage.
10. You are allowed to hold your opponent & hit him at the same time, or duck so low that your head is below your opponent's belt line.
11. The bout shall be "a fair stand-up fight," & if either man shall wilfully thrown himself down without receiving a blow, he shall be deemed to have lost the contest; but that this rule shall not apply to a man who, in a clinch, slips down from the grasp of his opponent to avoid punishment.
12. When the umpire breaks you from a clinch, you need not take a full step back; & you can immediately hit your opponent--that's called "hitting on the break" & in this bout is perfectly legitimate.
13. You are allowed to spit out your mouthpiece on purpose to get a rest.
14. If you score a knockdown of your opponent, you shall not go to the farthest neutral corner while the umpire makes the count.
15. If you "floor" your opponent, you can hit him when he's on the canvas.
16. A floored combatant has up to ten hours to get back up on his feet (i.e. post a reply in response to a previous post by his opponent) before losing the bout by knockout.
17. A combatant who is knocked down can be saved by the bell in any round (the spectators want value for money & want a very long bout, as there is a significant demand for this contest which is unmet).
18. A combatant on one knee is considered down, & his opponent is entitled to strike him repeatedly & relentlessly.
19. If either combatant fall through weakness or otherwise, he must get up unassisted within ten hours (i.e. post a reply in response to a previous post by his opponent). The other combatant meanwhile shall not return to a neutral corner; & when the fallen combatant is on his legs the round is to be resumed & continued until the sixth days has expired.
20. If any combatant fails to come to the scratch in the ten hours allowed (i.e. post a reply in response to a previous post by his opponent), it shall be in the power of the judges to give their award in favour of the other combatant.
21. A combatant hanging on the ropes in a helpless state, with his toes off the ground, shall be considered down.
22. A combatant who is hit with an accidental low blow has up to ten hours to recover (i.e. post a reply in response to a previous post by his opponent). If he cannot continue after ten hours, he is considered knocked out.
23. If the excessively foul blow results in an injury that causes the contest to end immediately, the combatant who committed the foul shall be the victor.
24. If an injury is caused but the bout continues, the judges (i.e. Forum Members) may add two points to the combatant who caused the injury.
25. If a combatant is knocked out of the ring, he gets a count of 20 to get back into the ring & on his feet (i.e. post a reply in response to a previous post by his opponent). In this bout he can be assisted to get back into the ring. (the spectators want value for money & want a very long bout, as there is a significant demand for this contest which is unmet).
26. The referee (TDO Admin) can stop this bout.

POINTS SCORING SYSTEM FOR JUDGES

All Forum Members shall be judges for this bout.

Scoring of points shall be calculated by all judges as follows:

If a judge deems that combatant A has won or out-posted combatant B in a round, then he will score the round 10 to combatant A, and 9 to combatant B.

If combatant B is knocked down by combatant A and receives a standing count, then the round is scored 10 points to combatant A, and 8 points to combatant B.

If a judge decides that neither combatant won the round then he or she will score it 10 points to each combatant.

If a combatant is penalized by the umpire, e.g. for not hitting a low blow when the opportunity arose, then the umpire will instruct the judges to deduct a point for that combatant from their score card for that round only.

The combatant with the most judges’ decisions wins the bout, but as this contest is unlikely to finish within the next decade or two, many of us will not live to see the outcome!

ROUND ONE; COMMENCE POSTING!!!

P.S. This post has been written in jest & there is no intention whatsoever to insult, offend, slight, put-down or slur either of the contestants.

It is accepted that the sarcasm employed in this post is not appreciated by everyone.

But on the other had, if the contestants wish to transfer their ‘private postings war’ to this, their exclusive forum, then the rest of the Forum Members will be your judges.

What are YOU afraid of? It’s only words!!! And remember …….

Stick & stones will break my bones,
But names will never hurt me!

Do all judges (ie Forum Members) get Las Vegas flights and accommodation, the cost of which to be met from the total purse before division between the contestants (ie JD and Mr T [in alphabetical order]), in order to better execute their onerous and exacting duties?

Every Forum Member gets a chance to be a judge, trolls, dolls the lot.

But I have a feeling the combatants don't want to enter the ring.
