why is it that some folk make problems when there isnt even a Problem there...I know we live in a Nanny state, but surely we can still use a wee bit of initiative now and again,

Wouldn't you normally activate your good judgement and ask them who wants to go and who wants to stay?

Normally when a hack is flagged down and there are more punters wanting a ride than what the cab is licensed for, then a driver will advise them that he can't accommodate all of them. One of two things normally happens either some go and some stay or they all stay but they don't all go, at least not legally.

this i know, i was HC long enough, but mob-rule "awww, go on drive, only 1 extra...."

(well, HC or PH, seating limit is seating limit....., even ryanair have limits...)

I've had that line repeatedly. I respond...

Only no insurance
only 6 points and a £300 fine
only lose by license
only can't pay my mortgage
only get evicted

and just go on and on till they give you the
'yeah yeah.. we get it... sarcasm!' look

Just split the group up and go back for the rest, 2 fares out of one booking not a problem.......... Or is there? :?
