Ok thanks everybody but this isn't a VAT question as such. In so far as how to work it out or wether I need to be registered. It was quite simply wether or not the Fare Tarriff in PH vehicle is inclusive of VAT or not. It can't be inclusive for some work and not others surely. What I really want to know is if anybody knows the answer.

Why not ring the licensing department where they have registered there fares and ask them. :wink:

You as a driver if you're not registered cannot charge VAT.... but if the company is registered it is quite legal for them to charge VAT on the accounts

Excellent idea I'll do that. Didn't know that the fare would be registered anywhere so I'm assuming it will be with the LA Licence Department. Thanks a million :D
