From elsewhere, I've gleaned that it may be Edinburgh. Probably PHV.

Taxi drivers are not the only ones that can be hit by fines issued without a trial or court.
Anyone who has ever played football will know that if a player receives a caution (yellow card) they will get an automatic fine from the county FA. You can't even appeal against a caution, except mistaken identity. If you receive a red card then the fines can be very high depending on the offence but you can appeal against a red card. The fines themselves are not enforceable in law but as with the taxi drivers, if you don't pay the fines then you don't play again.
Proffesional footballers can be fined upto 2 weeks wages by their clubs (employers) for breaches of discipline.

most taxi drivers on circuits are not employed, they PAY for the radio/data thingy...

THEY are a customer of the base

Correctemundo, this is CRT Edinburgh.

They make it up as they go along . . . courtesy of Colky & Co.

Pay your dues, bend over and take it up the ar*e ...oh and btw, if you don't, we'll kick you out the company.

The CRT mob really are a field of neaps . . . thick beyond belief . . . .

It never ceases to amaze me the crap some drivers take from circuts. just about everywhere in the country cab firms are ten a penny and drivers are in short supply. When I was driving PH the company tried to tell me I had to do Airport jobs for a very low rate, get in on time etc etc. So I told them I would be happy to give my £150 a week to any of the other firms in the area and they of course backed down, but it seems most drivers are scared of their own shadow.

As someone else pointed out, drivers are customers not employees, and should start insiting on customer service.
