[there are presently 116 cars allowed in and the rank holds 12, so they all park in the long stay car park much to the annoyance of customers who are trying to exit, rumour control has it that national express have leased the car park to NCP who are not going to allow taxis in so watch this space
firstly they[National Express] are going to concentrate on PH who come to pick up their passengers at the Station
it seems that a letter is going out to all PH offices to stop the practise of picking up their customers from the station on the through road in the Portico, their bunging up the system, but private vehicles i think will be left alone
this also include PH who park up in Tea Room Sq bays sitting one or two east, or is it west, waiting for radio jobs
the idea will be that PH will go to the short stay car park, buy a parking ticket, whilst waiting for that job off the train, makes National Express a bit more money from car park charges
or they could sit outside in the Bus bay at the front of the station and wait
Had a jumped up jerk asking me to move from the layby in tea room square this afternoon, told me i cant wait there to pick up my booked job, he said either wait in carpark and buy a ticket or drive around the square till they turned up, i duly refused to move till customer was in the car,
I want to know what right national express have to move me off a piece of land they dont even own, or even rent as part of the station. tea room square always has and still is owned by the people of York.
I will only move were i have been asked to pick up by a copper and he better have a good reason.
