Pleased to report that I will survive.

Trade is holding up at the mo during the day, not so good, but not desperate, in the evening/night.

Look after your punters, and if they can they will look after you.

It did cross my mind that the saviour of the trade might just be the CRB checks, as that stops any Tom Dick or Harry getting a license straight away.

Should keep the builders away for months, even in areas that license just about anything. :D

The forecast is for after the year. The business types I've spoken to reckon the economy will be on its as* by March 2009 - high inflation, businesses going under and huge job losses.

This is going to get bloody ....

I think you are right, but let's hope it doesn't effect the taxi/PH trade in the same way as the property/builders/bank trade.

Talking of the bank trade. Image

We are going to lend/give/invest 50 odd billions to the ****s that have been charging folks £30 a letter for the last 20 years.

I think its an American plot to take over all the Uk banks then they can send you demand for $100 when you over draw or something and on the bottom have a nice day

I seem to recall that a recession is great news long term for the strongest.

Gets all the crap out the way.

That you can be sure of. Some would say it's all relative to the individuals debt.

If you buy in at the wrong time that is . . . .

Indeed, a cull of the riff raff does have benefits.

It's all true i tell ya!!

Following the problems in the sub-prime lending market in America and the run on Northern Rock in the UK , uncertainty has now hit Japan .

In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches.

Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived.

While Samurai Bank is soldiering on following sharp cutbacks, Ninja Bank is reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black. Hara-Kiri Bank on the other hand is not expected to survive as it has haemorrhaged too much since it was opened up earlier in the day.

Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal

:D

On one hand I'm not. I don't like the idea of working for feck all any more than anyone else, but on the other hand, I told the er*ehole in Edinburgh, what would happen if you bought into the illusion of ownership at over inflated prices.

Dare I say it . . . I told them so . . . . :D
