Whers the incentive in using a Vehicle that can only do 100 miles on a charge,

Just say your the well Intended Taxi driver with his Super Dooper Austin leccy plugin Cab and youve done 2 hours work and its time to finish as the remaining 1 hour of leccy was used to get you to and fro from your work zone.

Thie purchase of this Super Dooper Austin leccy plugin Cab will probably have cost double that of its dirty old Diesel oil Burner that shares the rank with you most of the day, then a punter comes up and says can you take me to point A which is 75 miles away and which under normal circumstances make it a nice little earner, But you then twig youve only 75 miles of leccy left and you have to pass it on to the guy in the old Oil burner behind you at the rank, the Old oil Burner scoops up a £150 fare and your left with Bugger all, yes you will have save a fortune on diesel and yes you will have saved the planet from over heating or CO2 Asphyxiation (leave that CO2 to the massive chinese power stations to create).

now you head home with twice as much vehicle to Pay for on a fraction of the income that the Diesel guy earns......Is that Government gonna make up this loss in earnings or will you quadruple the fares to the punter in the name of greeness???

Besides.......isnt it more efficient using Fossel fuel Directly in the Vehicle than to haul it to a Power station and convert it into electricity then back via the national grid to your Taxi. I just cant see how it will save a single ounce of CO2 Emmissions. and we aint coming down in Cheap nuclear or Renewable energy to avoid the need of coal based fossel fuelled Power stations.

No incentive at all, but it's a start.
