Knife crime is only so regular because gun crime has shrunk cos folks don't like a minimum 5 years in jail. Knife crime will also fall when the scum realize a jail sentence will follow 99% of knife crimes.

As for legal aid, well fewer and fewer folks are getting that.


All criminal prosecutions should include an entitlement to legal aid. Our criminal law system is based upon the premise that the accused is innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Every defendent, regardless of means, should be able to avail him or herself of legal representation, paid for by the state if necessary.

The consequences of a guilty verdict should be the deterrent to knife crime, not the availability of legal aid.

thats exactly my point

we do not rule ourselves do we, and its HMG who have signed the UK over to the EU, and HMG (gordie) wont let us have the promised referendum

Well I suppose you could blame Labour for signing what they did, but the Human Rights Act was law long before they did. It's just easier now for our courts to act on it.

But the law is the law until someone changes it.

Its strange how this thread has developed, and in many ways its quite an eye opener towards some peoples prejudice's.

I'm with you GBC, I would much rather pick up gay men all night long, never had any grief of them.

If watching the country my dad (and others dads and mums, and grandads,etc) fought and died for slip down the pan then maybe im prejudiced

people come here under the supposed threat to life they have but then abuse the country financially and criminally, then plead it is unsafe to be sent back wherever!

the EU rules us so why do all these immigrants cross the channel?......isnt europe good enough?

errm the country fought in the war against intolerance....from memory the nazis weren't exactly decent to Jews, Gays, Gypsies or the disabled and as for immigration I think you know as well as everybody else this country's long history in being welcoming to people from foreign shores?

its not prejudices we infer....its a bloody lack of common sense in the real world that we abhor...people can can do as they please sexually...be any colour with pride. but what shouldnt be allowed is the invasion of other peoples beliefs or countries in the process, we dont all want gaydom rammed down our throats just because we tolerate it..nor do we want Squeezed to death by an unchecked number of Immigrants regardless of colour or creed.

Cant the PC brigade just let us live in peace...

Perhaps those who preach that we should allow law breaking assylum seekers to stay, should consider whether they would allow them to stay at their homes :shock:

or after a family member has been shot stabbed or raped by one?

they seem to have immunity from repatriation no matter what crime they have commited

i read yesterday that 1/3rd of all drunken drivers nicked were "illegals"

now have you noticed how on TV, gay guys are depicted almost as they are in real life?

saun (corrie) paul (emmerdale) and christian (eastenders)

however, gay birds on TV do not seem like the ones in real life

i.e. tattoos, missing teeth cropped hair and nose rings, nothing like Zoe Tate in fact.............or the birds she pulled....
