hehe, reminds me of the time i failed because the fuel cut off sticker was missing from the front, the tax disk holder had advertising on it and the steering box was assumed to be leaking................went to my mechanic, he checked the steering box and it was just a splash of oil, cleaned it up, changed the tax disk holder and put on a sticker, sadly had to wait a day for a new appointment but it past!

Dont worry about what people think of Bob after all he thinks your a *^*%$ er

Good post Clive, well thought out, but I see you've mentioned your Father again? 8)

I saw MI5 and the Navy (armed) stopping Taxi's tonight, apparently they (and Westminster Council) have teamed up to rid London of all Taxi's, but they haven’t put the plan into action just yet because an OAP from Harrow who speaks to himself on computer forums is on to them.

Bob Oddy seems to be involved, but I saw him driving a Minicab tonight, so perhaps not, it could be Peter Hendy? Anyhow, I digress . . .

I passed the Kings Cross Bridge abandoned rank tonight, and I see they've now got a TFL Minicab rank sign up, this too is apparently down to the LTDA and Bob Oddy (and Peter Hendy), when I saw him, he was wearing a yellow jacket with the words 'Satellite booking service' on it . . . then he was shouting something like 'The LCDC are a bunch of pensioners who should retire as they're the trades past'

Something like that anyway.

:D

This is something the LTDA, LCDC and Unite should have sorted out long ago.
It does not matter how efficient or safe your cab is, they can always find something wrong.

You mean the trade bodies members should do something, as long as it doesn’t involve you putting your hand in your pocket to help fund it?

What a tight fisted clown you are Clive.

Just as well some drivers pay their dues to give spongers like you better working conditions, whilst all you can do is sit on the sidelines and snipe, whilst doing fook all to help others.

I really hope you get a tax investigation or a nasty complaint and see how get on with funding your own defence. [-X

Stick to spreading lies, and re-posting old news stories, you're good at that.

We got mobile Internet here in the motel, Bit hard thought getting on line and expensive.
Was it worth it to see GBH still ranting on, Na! That boy needs treatment.
Had a great day last week, went to the Melbourne cup in Canberra. My horse got beat in a photo by Viewed but we had a great time
Bit like a cross between the derby and Ladies day at Goodwood.
Well it seems strange its nearly midnight and I cant keep my eyes open. Back home I don't go to bed till 7 am.
Nighty-night men, back after Christmas!

So we're back to using the LondonJim username?

You're weird.

I wish you would emigrate down under: Permanently. \:D/

You could have a whole new Clive Dunn fan base down there?

I've worked out I cross approximately 1000 speed humps per week (200 per day).Some days I work 8 hours,but I might do 90 miles.
No,I don't have a long lunch,it's London's traffic and it takes its' toll on vehicles (and in some cases, drivers).
Some taxis may do 500 miles a week, but the engine has been working 45 hours. As for the toll on brakes, some get 6000 miles between services.
If you live in central London, you may not do more than 40 mph once in a week.
Unless you experience London's traffic,it's hard to imagine.

That's why it's unfair to compare the work taxis do in London with the rest of the country.

im well aware what its like in london, i went there once...

He's not a lady, at least he hasn't made up a female username . . just yet.

If you did'nt already know, it's a sad old lad from a council estate in Sudbury who has little to do in life apart from posting bile on here.

That's what happens with no planning in life.
