OMG...so I'm doomed?

I would have bought an Octavia to be honest, but was offered a heinous £11500 for my CLK by the dealer, where the Merc dealer bunged me £15K

It actually cost less for a similar age C200 CDI

Are they any good by the way? :-|

Would I be unreasonable in asking what my earnings are likely to be if i simply frequent ranks? I appreciate it varies of course, a few scenario's would be appreciated.

By the way, many thanks for the info so far. ~I appreciate I'm sponging info at this moment in time, but I will be contributing as soon as I'm up and running.

Cheers chaps!

No, but you have to be realistic about the economy and the type of folks who live in the area where you want to be licensed.

I thought Hatfield and WGC had a restriction on the amount of taxi plates they issued? Have you checked that out first and foremost?

Chat to other WGC drivers, a local taxi radio circuit whilst costly, may help with earnings.

Hatfield 'ain't nice' but WGC is OK.

There is no restriction on plates, I asked the local C.O. :)

Go down to the rank and ask the lads.

I'm sure they will welcome you aboard with open arms. :D

Open arms?

This is a trick, right? :?

I did think of taking a little cab ride and asking, but they might think I'm a tax inspector
