You have to have good reason not to pick anyone up if you are plying.

Once they are in a case could be made that you felt the consequences of binning him out outweigh the consequences of keeping him in. :wink:

I was in a strange town once (before satnav) and had just stopped to check the map (autoroute print copy) when a woman approached and asked if I was looking for business!! :roll:

A friend of mine, a butcher found himself rather skint coming up to Christmas.
So he got in his car and went out at night touting fares in the West End. He got caught by the Pussy Squad pulling up for a young lady in the Park Street area, at that time notorious for prostitutes. The young lady in question was a decoy.

As all his mates were London cab drivers he didn't want them to know he was touting so he held his hands up to kurb crawling.
He has still got all his mates, but his wife left him.

Since when was it ileagal to hire a prostitute?


If it isn't illegal to pick up a prostitute on the street, how come so many people already get done for it?
