It's MET Parking. That's where the fun comes in.

They purport to make overstaying an offence. Only those authorised under statute can issue penalty notices. They are merely entitled to damages for their loss......£1 possibly???

They purport to charge the registered keeper under contract law. The RK is not party to the contract. Only the driver, but who is the driver? There is no requirement for RK to name the driver, therefore the action fails.

Ignore any tickets received and do not contact them.

Council parking tickets - always appeal.

Speeding tickets - always ask for photos to 'identify the driver'. May show a dodgy ping!!

nice going GBC :D

I must be one of the few who do ok from there.

Where do the 'pre-booked' jobs get loaded up from, I've not seen any being blatantly wheeled out in front of me.

I was parked up there (good toilets) on Thursday when Young Mr Grace who was on point decided his bag needed changing and pulled off, 2 minutes later I took a T4. Mind you no doorman, just another walk up.

I thought there was a thread on this, did'nt think it was from so long ago.

Time does fly.

I think more and more drivers are taking their 40 minutes worth in MacDonald's car park. Rather than pay a fiver in the airport car park.

McDonalds?

Too much temptation.

A gatwick AND a T4 off the metropole!!! are you sure you're not one of those lovely cabbies bunging the doorman a drink or 3 for the tasty jobs, i've never had a decent job off there unless you consider 20 minutes on the rank then off to RAF club tasty

I have tipped doormen, but only to reward their honesty when putting a good job into my cab without some form of expected fee.

Nothing much, just a little to show that straight working can also gain them tips.

It's like my garage, I always tip the mechanics and now when I drive in I'm seen straight away, even if they're busy.

AND a T4

Is there anywhere in this wonderful country of ours that is easier to drop off at than T4?

Cos if there is then I haven't dropped there.

A bit unfortunate if you happen to break down under the sign.
