The drivers were caught speeding on the A5117 at Deeside Park, Chester, over the past eight months.

But it emerged that a legal order to enforce a 40mph speed limit next to a stretch of road works ran out in April.

The drivers have already had points added to their licence, been fined and attended speed awareness courses.

The mistake was only discovered on 15 December.

In a joint statement, Cheshire Police and the Highways Agency admitted the traffic order had lapsed in April and had not been renewed.

You're not a member . . . so for the 100th time it's got nothing to do with you what I or the LTDA do.

You stick to taking it up the arse, and I'll stick to fighting our corner.

think back to when Upper Thames St had the 20mph zone and was camera enforced; because of bad signage a heck of a lot of drivers had their fines refunded and the points removed from their licences.

That was thanks to David2428 who posts on here.

You make a good indirect point Mr cabbyman.

It's not for me to take sides ( ), but when good members of one side of the trade are at each others throats, the good members of the other side thrive.

David thanks
I was one of the drivers who got back the money and the points. The money was irrelevant but getting the points taken off was gold dust.
If your ever in the oak at 3am I will buy you dinner.
Just ask Kathy to point out Jim Thomas

I've plenty to say, it's just not worth saying it to pensioners like you.

Has anyone told you your street is infested with yobs? After 35 years driving a London Taxi, you really should have done better.
