Very informative review of the Vito by stormcab (his TX4 went up in flames and was on TV).

Most if not all the problems the driver mentioned, could easily be rectified at the Merc factory.
They could easily fit a much larger wider top sign, and move the internal door button and the intercom buttons
I have sent Merc the video
The fuel filler could be put near the rear higher up

i shall wait until the 2nd reiteration of the merc cab before i decide if i'm going to invest in one.............actually let me re-phrase that! I've decided that i'm getting one in the future but shall wait a couple of years until the TX4 is paid for before i take the plunge, by that time a 2nd or even 3rd version will be out with all the little problems ironed out not to mention that it would have been tried and tested in London for a number of years.....unless something else comes along that appeals. :D

If the Liverpool case goes to the disability group, You will be able to get the E7 as well in London, without the rear steer

No I'm not gay.....and the PCO dont have to do anything a court says in Liverpool......that's presuming the court in Liverpool even goes in favour of an alternative vehicle.....personally I can't see it.

So far everything produced from the wheelchair users group has been utter tosh.

Well it worked in Knowsley without going to court, but as Liverpool has chosen this rout they will loose, and once there is case law that, a council cannot restrict the type of vehicle the flood gates will open, and the PCO will have to back down

Why did it work in Knowsley Skippy?

Its only case law if it gets to a higher court.....crown court is nothing much more than of a persuasive value.....ask JD.

But please tell me on what grounds the E7 is superior to the TX vehicle.....

is it price? Because last month the TX was the same price as the E7.....

is it resale value? because the TX is worth more second hand.

Is it servicing? Because the TX is cheaper to service.

Is it the high floor on the E7 which a good load of pensioners and ambient disabled find too high?

Is it the warranty work often refused by Peugeot dealers because they don't fix the bits not fitted by Peugeot?

Believe it or not I couldn't give a t*ss if the E7 is licensed in Liverpool or Timbuktu.....I'll still drive my Skoda.

But what I don't like is the b*ll-shit surrounding all of this.....the users group in Liverpool are treating the taxi trade with contempt, as are that f*ck witted new association who seem to believe driving a cab is the same as OWNING one.
