He hasn't mentioned the lack of a spare wheel.
Maybe he hasn't need it...yet!

I understand the rear wheel steering takes up the space for the spare wheel.
You are given an aerosol of hairspray...or whatever they call the puncture repair gunge ( Another topic - any one knows if this stuff works?)

I wonder how many wheelchair jobs drivers have had to refused on the grounds that the chair cannot be taken as the law states in any LTI or Metro cab vehicle, yet can be accommodated in the E7 and its equivalents, :?: :?:

Quote:
But what I don't like is the b*ll-[edited by admin] surrounding all of this.....the users group in Liverpool are treating the taxi trade with contempt, as are that f*ck witted new association who seem to believe driving a cab is the same as OWNING one.

Maybe they are sick of being classed as second rate citizens, and want to be on the same footing as ab-led bodied folk.

The court will give the ruling in there favor, not because they are forced to by the group but by the disability laws

Ok, which wheelchairs (name and type) can be accomodated by a E7 and not by a TX?

Maybe the disabled people of Liverpool need something similar to the Scottish Borders, where there is no provision at all apart from a few companies that 'specialise'....'fook all' on ranks, but if you give PH a call?

Could be the answer, it works well here, even though there are 2 Vito's on the rank, chair users still call the wheelchair specialists as they are cheaper
Thats a thing CC the specialists are not PH  so I will look into this, unless there is no requirement other than hire and reward insurance :?: :?:

I think I'll take a trip up there with a disabled person and leave them to get around using that 'taxi' service of yours.........I think a few letters to you local paper sayiing the service aint there, maybe a letter or seventy to your local council, questioning the provision, will see you all driving WAV's.....E7's naturally.

It would never happen here, if it did there would only be 3 cabs left, mine would be 1 of them, most owners find it hard to afford a cab younger than 5 years old
The ones who dont use the specialists like to transfer to the saloons
Could you make your first complaint that folk should use the first cab on the rank instead

No...thats fair competition, lowest price wins.

You lot need deregulated properly....you'd soon have cabs to make up the demand, its happened elsewhere even in the most godawful places (I have a list that might interest your council) dont worry you'll be fine, anyway you can always go PH

We have thats why there is now 130 cabs with 19 spaces, but I know what you mean, if the council said you could not get a licence for a car over 3 years at first licence there would be only around 29 cabs

I think at the end of the day we need to weigh up the makers.

Is there anyone who thinks Mercedes got to where they are today by treating punters in the same way as LTI treat TX owners? :?
