What would happen if every taxi went PH, what would councils be able to do if it did happen.
With the growing numbers of them in most places it looks like the way out of not having to buy a wav, and having the council controlling you except for the ilegal picking up of punters.
Any person who at the moment goes to a rank would soon learn that they must call for a PH but they would still ask for a taxi

how many LA's issue HC plates way beyond the number of spaces on its authorised ranks?

thats taking the pish innit

99% of the public carry at least 1 mobile phone, some carry more, who needs to walk to a rank when a PH taxicab-bus will come to you?

All the PH would go taxi to get away from the riff raff.

Well Jimbo ( remembering new years revolution) :D
Would you rather be driving a saloon or MPV over a WAV
PH to my thinking is a get out clause and lifts the burden of most hack rules and regs

I think riff raff get in anything they are probably more likely than most to try and flag PH down or get in one they haven't booked and then kick it when they can't

Well Skippy (what revolution?) if I wanted to continue to drive a saloon rather than a WAV I would have gone over to the dark side on the 1st April 1994.

I know they both go through the same test and licence procedure, but that where the differences split
I dont know about your rules regarding age or vehicle type , but in most areas there is no age policy or restriction on vehicle type and some are total sheds in some parts

I'm not incensed with the Europeans, apart from during Eurovision.
