who needs to walk to a rank when a PH taxicab-bus will come to you?

The type of people who want a cab immediately and not half hours time.

Provided they don't want the cab the same time as everybody else :D

What would happen if every taxi went PH, what would councils be able to do if it did happen.
With the growing numbers of them in most places it looks like the way out of not having to buy a wav, and having the council controlling you except for the ilegal picking up of punters.
Any person who at the moment goes to a rank would soon learn that they must call for a PH but they would still ask for a taxi

I was hoping you may have stopped beating about the bush and told us what you were getting at, but to hazard a guess, are you suggesting that if a Council (yours, say.) introduced a WAV only policy, all you hack owners would have to do would be to switch over to PH to stuff the Council's [edited by admin] plan?

Great idea, Skippy, and it might just work, but for one thing.

And that would be...

Well that would be the other hack drivers, a few who would break ranks (pun intended) and gerra-wav, and be one of the few working the ranks and cleaning up, with others soon following in their footsteps...

Of course you Scots may be made of sterner stuff and stick together

I remember here a "strike" being organised to boycott the station in protest against a station rank pass increase, one driver though just paid up, and the rest followed, as always.

I thought all scots were tight and tough. Having picked up two of them from Glasgow tonight I was pleasantly surprised to be given £10 for a £4 fare and they said we was nutters here an they said you need a bullet prove vest to drink in our pubs in this wee small town, but, they think the hotel they are in is fab

Me on a warpath?

I seem to be getting assured that the Scottish Borders have more WAV's per head of population than anywhere else in the world, I imagine they'd love more.

Did you see that letter published in the scots section? Truly shocking, a disabled person cant get a taxi and sits waiting a WAV for hours? 21st Century? Did the DDA never happen? Will you sell skippy your metrocab?

hehe
