JD has his love of law.... I like to play with the systems governments make..... a standardised reply will work well... .... the main thing is that at the top of reach reply you state that you wish to register your reply... which they will have to do...and they will have to reply to you ,bury them all under a mountain of replies... get everyone you know to reply... the numbers then will go against them.... and if you want to e-mail them.... or even start a prime ministers e- mail good, make no mistake ignore this one at your
peril... 8)

Ok....can anyone come up with a Standard reply and a link where to send it to.

the simpler the better...we can all add and embelish the standard reply if a space for remarks is left, I know my literary limitations and would appreciate someone or somepeople having a go on my behalf at formulating a coherent and business like reply draft to the DFT..something we can copy and paste..ta muchly

MR T

Try this in the email.

I........ request that the DFT requests all the names listed on the DLA register and ask them personally what there preference is

Yours>>>>
licence number
council

If they where to do the above way it would help them, instead of asking us is like asking how longs a piece of string
From the posts so far the general consensus is leave things as they are but give owners the choice

Replies should really be individually crafted from a skeleton draft. If loads of replies are received that all look the same, they are obviously the work of one person.

Seperately written comments will have a much greater effect, IMHO.

If someone would be kind enough to highlight all the points that need to be raised along with suggested recipient(s), it would give us a head start to sing from the same hymn sheet, albeit to a different tune!!!

As long as you include your name and address licence number and council there should not be a problem singing from the same sheet
even include a phone number

Could we ask them to find out how many wheelchair bound people we are trying to cater for and in which areas give or take a few :?

If I was to ask how many wheelchair bound people reside in my area would they be able to tell me or are we throwing darts with our eyes covered eusasmiles.zip Obviously we would have to make a small allowance for visitors or tourists who have lost their way from the tourist route

I think what they are suggesting has some merit.

I have no problem with all drivers having to buy WAVs.

Has the world ended in the 64 councils with a 100% WAV fleet? :?

There isn't a council with 100% WAV fleet is there because all councils have PH and they aren't WAV well most of them aren't. I personally don't like them so I cannot be alone in this surely there must be others who don't like to travel in them, there has to be a happy medium for everybody

There is no way this government or any other government will insist on a 100% PH WAV policy. Anyone who suggest this is scaremongering.

It will not happen.
