hi guys, just wondered if there was any online courses, quick fixes to learn the streets of newcastle for a newbie??

I don't think there are any shortcuts to learning street names. Towns like mine and many others do have a policy of having themed estates so one estate may have all the roads named after trees and another may be rivers. We have poets, golfers, local villages and others. This does make it a bit easier to get to the right part of town. Cities are probably a bit more tricky though.

Look on the bright side... even though Newcastle has a Dialect somewhere between Jockanese, English and Pit Pony its nothing to what those stalwart welsh Taxi boyos have to contend with..after all theres no place called "Llanfair­pwllgwyn­gyllgo­gerychwyrn­drobwll­llanty­silio­gogogoch" in Newcastle....having said that im sure the locals will make similar gutteral sounds after 15 bottles of Newcastle Brown..

You may find it easier to use the Berwick Borough Council map of Berwick...that'll have Detailed street names of the Newcastle area as thats where 90% of its plates are based...
