Dear Colleagues,

Our petition has been approved by the Number 10 web team, and is now available on the Number 10 website at the following address:

http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/Royal-Mail-Sale/

Our petition reads:

We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to reject any part privatisation or minority stake sale of Royal Mail which could lead to loss of service, price hikes and would erode a much loved public service.

A petition to keep a much loved public service fully intergrated and wholly in the public sector.

Could I ask you to please add your names and feel free to pass onto friends, family and anyone in your address book that will support our campaign.

Regards,

John Colbert

No matter what anyone thinks of Royal Mail you can bet your bottom dollar that privatisation will bring higher postal charges.

Of course....and as soon as the government make a rule that all HC's have to be brand spanking new TX4's, I'll support it even more

I don't mind paying a higher postal charge, as long as the checks get to my door faster . I already save a fortune in e-mails

Personally I resent the closure of sub post offices and the reductions in service which have already taken place at the end of the day a privatised post office will only be interested in providing the more profitable services and not a good easy accessible service for all

I believe that postal services should be a government supplied service and provided in a way which makes it possible for businesses and the general public alike to gain access to not concentrated in a few centralised locations
