Unfortunately the trade is full of people who will let you do the work, do the shouting, then stand three miles behind and watch you fall.

so if your going down that route, just make sure you have an exit strategy.

Maybe but it'll be done by website and that appears to be ok even though it's most likely illegal :lol:

It appears I have a knack of going off on a tangent. We were of course discussing the 2 - 3 jobs an hour that the Delta drivers should be glad of whilst the owners make how much exactly

with 1500 cabs and say £50 maybe £100 per week settle......I'd say an awful lot :shock:

You certainly do. I think the settle will be on a par with ours somewhere around £80/90. Not forgetting all the settle cars they have as well. They have done well to build a big business but you would think now they would help drivers and reduce settles a little, greed is not attractive no matter how you dress it 8)

I alluded to this a while back in a thread which Mr Delta was contributing too.

He indicated how many jobs his firm did, but when you divide that by the number of drivers, well TBH it appeared third rate. :sad:

I would guess that during the week the majority of these drivers would work morning to early evening until it goes quiet and perhaps change their work pattern at weekends for the greater volume of night work.

Two jobs an hour or even 2.8 jobs an hour at peak times suggests to me that they have an over supply of drivers by some two hundred at least.

It was mentioned they have 1500 drivers but how many vehicles do they have?
