Plus, we can charge 20p extra for a 'non-assistance' dog!!!! ££££££

That's very generous of the council we charge an extra £1.00 for non assistance dogs. Depending on their behaviour standard rates for the 2 legged variety

I dont think thats legal you know

CC

You don't think which bit is legal :?

OK, I'll reword it: The tariff that our LA require us to display in the vehicle includes 20p for a dog.

All this talk of 'illegal' extras, is there any legal precedent available?

OOps  missed the 'non' bit

Now it's beginning to hurt my head. Where should the 'non' have been and which bit don't you think is legal. Would it be the extra charge for carrying fluffy things in the vehicle :?

Thanks for the clarification.

I am fully aware that an asssistance dog must be carried free of charge.

That doesn't help cos nobody suggested charging assistance dogs in the first place. The only charge is for non assistance dogs and as to whether that is legal or not I haven't a clue. I am beginning to wonder why I commented in the first place

I told the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and if Mr ******** wants to sue me he can make my day.

I might make his day at City Hall tomorrow.

What, do you want admin to remove Luigi Ziccardi's name from this post?

That's OK by me.

Our bylaws state:- " dogs carried at discretion of driver" and I'm talking pets not guide dogs. A fair enough bylaw then.

Theres a driver in London who carries his own dog in the luggage platform.

It stinks and has halitoses.

Nice.

'Ghost Dog' as CC has named it.

The premise of this thread is simple;

You either in principle carry dogs.

Or, you with principle do NOT carry dogs.

The destination of the intending passenger is irrelevant.
